We are disputing a 420 euro charge through consumer protection agencies in LT and LV and with Booking. Our one night stay cost 188 euros for two families, but money was later taken from our account, and we have been given no claim or evidence of damage. At check-in, the man copied my credit card number onto paper, and we had to sign a form saying we were responsible for damage we caused. A week later, the deduction appeared. We say this is a way of scamming guests and causing frustration. The owner accused us of causing damage without showing evidence. He also kept insisting on speaking Russian or German to a group that speaks neither. Check the photo to see what to expect. A disgrace in an otherwise interesting town to visit. It brings back sad echoes of history. Dear friends and strangers, avoid this place like the plague!

The villa is well placed, with parks, sights, beaches, cafes and shops nearby. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the shared space and kitchen were well equipped. There is safe parking on site. The owners were friendly and hospitable, and it was a pleasure to meet them and stay overnight. Thank you for everything. I'd recommend staying here for either a short or long visit.

The location worked really well for a beach trip, and the host quickly fixed a bathroom ceiling leak and offered compensation for the inconvenience. It was a classic family run guesthouse, with the hosts there to welcome you and show you around. Our building had a fully equipped kitchen for storing and preparing food. We got a key with a gate remote and a parking space, so we could come and go as we pleased. Breakfast was available at 14 euros per person, a bit pricey but decent. The bed squeaked, the linens felt cheap and used, and the toiletries were an odd setup. For some reason we got just one small towel and two large ones. Still, the stay was quite decent, and it was a pleasure.

The hosts were so kind and caring, we felt like we were visiting our best friends. It's a charming family hotel, with an authentic feel, and everything was very clean and tidy. We'll definitely go again.

The location is really good, with a nearby cafe and attractions by the sea and river. The kitchenette is equipped, and they provide towels, shower supplies, spices and even slippers. The internet is fast and there's a TV. You get your own entrance and keys for the gate, so you can come and go freely. The hosts are friendly, helpful and discreet.
