Zaļais namiņš

The rental had a very limited selection of bikes, and the four we took were in poor condition. The tyres were badly worn, and despite being told the brakes were all fine, most of them weren't. At the first junction I nearly hit a car because the rear handbrake wouldn't lock the wheel and the coaster brake barely worked. Only the front brakes were good, but using those suddenly can be dangerous. The children's carriage was meant for two, but only one child could sit in it with anything like safety because the belts were torn. Both mosquito-cover zippers were broken too. I tried to fix them while the staff watched, and nobody offered to help. One man just said, “I think it’s not gonna work.” Why rent out a carriage for children if it isn't safe? On the way back, about 6-7 kilometers from the rental place, an aluminum pedal snapped in half while I was riding. It could have caused an injury, but luckily I was going slowly and had just put the child in the carriage. I strongly recommend the owner repair the bikes before renting them out. This reflects badly on a company that offers bicycle repair services.
