The room wasn’t properly clean when we arrived, and the bathroom was especially disappointing. The towels looked brand new but smelled as though they’d never been washed, which isn’t hygienic. There weren’t many good restaurants nearby, even though the beach was relatively close. The staff were genuinely lovely throughout, from the front desk to the person who helped with luggage. The hotel has a good idea behind it and looks promising, but the execution and value don’t match the price. It felt like no one was checking that departments met the expected five-star standard. We weren’t offered WiFi or given clear check-in instructions. At £120 a night, the small things count, and having just two coffee pods included added to the feeling that it wasn’t good value. The staff and the look of the hotel were positives, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The setting doesn’t make up for the cleanliness, service, and basic expectations falling short.

The area wasn’t quite what we were after. We hadn’t looked into it properly, our fault, and there are nicer beaches, resorts, and areas around Taghazout. This hotel is in a city area with more local residents, so it depends on what you want. The staff are lovely, and the rooms feel modern with good facilities. Cleaning needs more attention, though. There were crumbs on our sofa and dirt on the bathroom floor. Breakfast at the cafe next door was great, probably one of the nicest options at this price in the immediate area.

We stayed for one night and didn’t explore the area or have breakfast. The main problem was that our room had no working air conditioning. After calling reception twice, the hotel still couldn’t move us to another room. We slept with the balcony door open and chairs set up as a warning in case anyone came in. Apparently several rooms had no AC that night. The receptionist seemed to have little empathy and smiled at times. Not a great end to the holiday. The deluxe room itself was spacious and clean, with a decent balcony looking down the road toward the sea and plenty of sockets. Room service was tasty and good value for a hotel. The towels were a bit worn, and the rug was stained from wear and needed a proper clean. It was useful having a kettle, coffee machine, and fridge. I don’t understand why only one pair of slippers and one bathrobe were provided for two guests. The hotel advertises itself as five-star, though I’d call it more like four-star. The property gave me a refund note, but now they aren’t returning the money. That’s why I’ve graded it so low.

The staff were incredibly helpful and knew the area well. They even helped me find a dispensing pharmacy for my medication. Ehsan deserves a special mention for being amazing on both visits. This was my second stay, and I fully intend to come back. The modern boutique hotel is in central Agadir, about a five-minute drive from the beach. My room was excellent again, with a very comfortable bed and a large bathroom stocked with toiletries. The shower had strong pressure and enough hot water for two showers. The air conditioning handled the temperatures in both April and October. I’d highly recommend it for the comfort and quality of the staff.

The team were terrific, including the cleaning staff, and any room issues were dealt with quickly. One petite cleaner with black hair stood out for her English and excellent customer service. I was surprised she wasn’t on the front desk. An evening staff member, possibly named Mohammed, was also especially warm and welcoming. I was working remotely, so fast internet mattered, and the connection was excellent. The rooms were superb, and the food was delicious. The restaurant’s Parisian-style decor added a lot of charm. Staying in a residential area meant I could explore local shops and eateries, which was ideal for getting a feel for local culture. I was hoping to buy a distinctive, high-end Moroccan gift, but the only thing offered was fancy sugar. It would be nice if the hotel stocked a wider selection of premium gifts. The indoor restaurant looks stunning, and since the rooftop terrace is still being planned, sun loungers on each terrace would make a good place to relax in the meantime. I’m looking forward to visiting Petit Palace Suite Hotel again, and I’m grateful to all the staff for making the stay so good.
