Royal Decameron Tafoukt Beach Resort & Spa - All Inclusive

We were unsure about booking because many reviews were from people who hadn’t stayed as long as we planned. But after two weeks all inclusive, I can happily say this is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in while travelling. We had so much food to choose from. Each night brought a different cuisine, like Italian, Moroccan, Cantonese, or Mexican. There were plainer choices such as chips, pizza, and chicken nuggets on most nights and at lunch, plus mixed or separate salads and a range of desserts. Our favourite was the fried doughnut-looking treat with honey and caramel sauce, definitely worth trying. I just wish there were a late-night snack bar, since we got quite hungry later on. All-inclusive drinks were good and varied: Coke, Sprite, Fanta, orange juice, cocktails, vodka coke, cappuccino, and more. They tasted different in another country, but were just as good. Alcoholic drinks were a bit strong, but staff were happy to make mine with less alcohol when I asked. The staff were fantastic and worked hard to keep the restaurants, rooms, bars, and pool area clean. They gave great service without a tip, but we tipped because they were so good. The pool team worked hard day and night cleaning and helping with umbrellas. The animation team were top tier, keeping guests busy with pool games, darts, dancing, and traditional Moroccan tagine making. Night entertainment was just as good, with full productions and games beforehand. They made our holiday more fun than it would have been just the two of us. Special mention to Oussama, Yahya, and simo, who were especially attentive and chatty with us as a couple. There were lots of French guests, so staff often spoke French, understandably as it’s their second language. At times we felt a little out of the loop because English wasn’t used as much as we’d have liked. Maybe it’ll be used more later in summer, when there are more English guests. Our room was spacious, with a bedroom, bathroom, toilet, living room, two balconies, and lots of storage. The cleaners were amazing. Whenever we wanted it cleaned, we came back to clean floors, fresh bedding, and empty bins. They also cleared any rubbish left in the room. The hotel is right in the middle of agadir with easy access to a beautiful beach. We felt safe walking around in the day and at night. The beach had lots of waves, but lifeguards were always around. There’s a taxi rank right outside. We asked the fare before getting in because we’d heard they can overcharge. Once, we asked the doorman to get us a taxo, which he did without any problem, though it cost more. We recommend carrying cash. There’s an ATM inside the hotel, which we used, and the exchange rate there was great. We booked trips to Paradise beach, Marrakech, and Mini sahara tour, and all picked us up from the hotel without any problems. We also visited the beautiful Medina, which we recommend, and the souk in agadir. The hotel has a small souk next door and a few shops a short walk away. There are lots of restaurants along the promenade if you don’t want to eat at the hotel. There are lots of cats and kittens around, all very friendly. They don’t bother you for food or jump on tables. They mostly sleep by the pool or in the lobby, and seemed very well looked after. We liked seeing that, and heard they’re vaccinated. Staff get along with them and clearly care for them, with bowls of food and water left out. A great stay. We’d love to come back in future. 11/10 ♥️♥️

The seafood was a particular favourite, and there was a fantastic range of food. The location was superb too. From reception and restaurants to the bar, gym, spa, and entertainment, staff were friendly and welcoming. They always went the extra mile to make things special. A wonderful stay from beginning to end. I’d happily return and highly recommend this place.

Restaurant staff provided good service, but I felt let down by the animation team. They mostly focused on talking to French guests and seemed to cater only to them throughout our stay. I’d been looking forward to an evening comedy show, but the team spoke only French, and all the sketches were in French too. We couldn’t understand what was being said. Very disappointing.

We stayed in a ground-floor property with a garden, which gave us easy access to different areas of the hotel. The staff were lovely and friendly, especially in the dining area. The waiters were really nice and helpful. Special thanks to Hasan and his team in the Buffett resturant, and to kingslla, the sweet young lady from housekeeping. Thank you all for being so kind and helpful and making this a wonderful, memorable holiday. I miss you all. I’m coming back in augest to see everyone again.
