Sunrise Auberge is peaceful and beautifully placed, just a short walk from the beach. Those early strolls and sunset moments were lovely. I felt comfortable and looked after from the minute I arrived. Samado is a kind, attentive host who really wants guests to feel at home. The place has a simple, authentic feel, and it was a special stay. I’d happily return.

The terrace view is amazing, and you can even see it from some of the rooms. The beach is ridiculously close, with a supermarket right beside the entrance. The new owner has loads of energy and wants to turn this hidden gem into a shining one. I’ll definitely come back.

There’s loads of space here, and the roof area is especially generous, with couches, cushions, tables, chairs and a kitchen with a cooker, two fridges and a washing machine. It’s covered, so rain isn’t a problem, and works well for making meals. Each floor has a bathroom, a useful separate sink, and a balcony. The rooms and dorms get plenty of light, but have good curtains for sleeping, plus comfy beds and nearby outlets. Wi-Fi worked reliably throughout the building. Right next door there’s a grocery shop and a restaurant open 24/7, along with a daytime café. There’s a huge car park across the road, and Taghazout Bay beach is a five-minute walk. Trees out front add a nice touch of nature despite the fairly busy road. Seriously, everything feels spacious and generous.

The terrace common area is a great spot to relax or meet other guests, with a nice design and all the gear you need. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and everything is well looked after. You can see the positive changes since Isma recently took over as owner. Great hostel!
