Riad La Tempérance

What a distinctive stay. Sylvain, the friendly host whose stage name made us laugh 😂, made us feel at home in a dreamlike setting, with no silly rules or extra house restrictions. The room was stylish, with an ocean view, a roomy bathroom, and a little balcony, so it was very comfortable. The women helping in the kitchen brought Moroccan cooking to the table in delicious dishes. I especially recommend the sardines, prepared in an authentic style, and breakfast was generous. There’s also a hammam and a massage room set aside for that experience. The riad is in the authentic countryside near Essouira, among gentle, calm people. We felt safe the whole time.

A lovely spot to unwind and get creative. I booked at the last minute, but could still check in and have dinner at the Riad. It felt like a home away from home, with a friendly, helpful host and staff.

Sylvain, the owner, made us feel truly cared for from the moment we arrived. He was warm and thoughtful, and paid close attention to the details, going well beyond what we expected to make our stay feel just right. The hotel has plenty of charm and is meticulously kept. It feels stylish yet comfortable, and you can see the care put into the design and upkeep. I had the pleasure of staying over the weekend, and it was one of my best experiences. It’s more than somewhere to sleep, it left me feeling relaxed and inspired. I’m already looking forward to returning.
