La Kasbah De Dades

We spent the first night of our Merzouga desert trip here. The outside of the hotel looks okay, but the restaurant and rooms were very poor. Our shower was broken, the toilet was peeling, and the room cleanliness was questionable. Dinner was poor as well: chicken tagine for everyone, but the portions were very small. I don’t recommend it at all.

Terrible service, no respect, and I’m never coming back. We asked politely if we could play some music when we arrived, and the manager himself said yes. Not long after, a staff member came over shouting at us and treating us like criminals, even though we’d followed the rules. He was rude, aggressive, unprofessional, disrespectful, and hostile. If that’s how they treat paying guests, I can’t imagine how they handle real problems. 🤮🤮

The location at La Kasbah de Dades is undeniably beautiful, but the way the staff treated us made our stay very disappointing. Their attitude felt cold and unwelcoming, and we struggled to enjoy the rest of the visit. We were shown very little respect or hospitality, which was surprising after the warm welcome we’d received elsewhere in Morocco. Being treated badly on the grounds that others might be “worse” isn’t an excuse. As paying guests, we expected basic courtesy and professionalism, and sadly didn’t get that. The place has potential, but unless the way guests are treated improves seriously, I wouldn’t recommend it.

The rooms were really cool, and I’m always impressed by the traditional feel of the building.
