Hotel Azur

I really liked the location, right in the middle of the beach area, and my stay of a few nights was great. They upgraded me to a sea-view room at no extra cost, which I loved. The place is clean and very nice. Some improvements are underway, so it should be even better soon. It's reasonably priced, cheaper than nearby hotels, and well worth the money. I'd strongly recommend it.

The pool area is quiet and relaxing, and there are some great restaurants nearby. I'd say this hotel is okay, maybe above average for the area. The main building rooms weren't great: the air conditioning didn't work and the windows didn't lock properly. We asked to move to the newer tower, where the rooms were much better.

The first floor room they eventually gave me was next to a nightclub bar, with noise until 5 a.m., and above it was a restaurant that was also very noisy. They hadn't told me about any of that. I booked a deluxe double room, but was initially given a standard room that was too small. When I asked whether it was the reservation I'd made, the answer was that there was no other option. I was disappointed. Expedia should check hotels before listing them. Five long, disappointing nights.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the hotel is handy if you just need somewhere to sleep near good restaurants or the beach. But I'd pass if comfort matters to you. It's nothing like a four-star hotel. The Wi-Fi didn't work even after staff tried moving the routers or boosters, so don't stay here if you need to work. Clubs nearby play music all night, which is rough if you're a light sleeper. The outside door lock wasn't functional either.
