Jinhui Hotel

We stopped for a big lunch before leaving Casablanca. This is a small place serving as a canteen for hotel guests, so it doesn’t have the usual mainstream restaurant design or chic touches. The food, though, is very authentic by Chinese standards. If you’re after authentic Chinese dishes rather than westernized or local Chinese food, ask the chef what he recommends that day. We loved the fish with pickled vegetables Sichuan style boiled fish fillet with pickles and chilies, served in a huge pot, and it went perfectly with white rice. The steamed oyster and clam were below my expectations, though, so there’s room to improve. I’d still recommend the restaurant and come back to try more. It has the potential to become one of the town’s top authentic Chinese restaurants.
