Kenzi Sidi Maarouf Hotel

Our group of 13 tourists stayed five nights, and we deeply regret choosing this hotel. The AC didn’t work, the room lockers were unusable, and food service at the Roof Top Restaraunt took far too long. We were refused a packed breakfast for 6 am, and at checkout they demanded city tax again even though we’d paid it earlier. One female Manager had the right service attitude and soft skills. The rest of the staff seemed understaffed and untrained, which appears to be the root of the problems. Morocco is a wonderful country with amazing people, and this hotel urgently needs to look at itself and improve.

I was here for 12 days on a work trip and found it a reliable option for that purpose. Being in the Sidi Maarouf business district near our office made the commute easy. It’s away from the main tourist areas, with no markets, malls, or major sights close by, though the staff helped arrange taxis when I needed them. For my first three nights I had a spacious, comfortable King suite with nice extras. Then I moved to a deluxe room, which was more practical but still clean and suited to everyday use. I’d stay here again for another work trip.

The regular rooms are good, and the fish and fries from room service were tasty. The front desk has some helpful people, especially if they know you’ll leave a review. They like Nigerians too, haha!

The rooms were spacious and luxurious, parking was included, and the reception staff were very kind. Breakfast had a good variety and was in line with what you’d expect from a standard hotel. Our one night was still spoiled by the rooftop experience. After a five-hour drive we ordered a few tapas and drinks, but the food took an hour to arrive and the meatballs were cold, as if they hadn’t fully defrosted. The staff handled the complaint incompetently, and the manager was rude and disrespectful. If you stay here, don’t order anything at the rooftop.
