Camping Hotel Le Calme

We stayed two nights in our motorhome. It was completely calm, and we were left to our own devices. There’s a swimming pool, and it’s well worth a visit. I was a little disappointed with the restaurant's tagine, though, as it had no vegetables at all.

I was very disappointed to be charged the full 100D, the same as two people with a Campervan, even though I was alone. That price didn't include EHU. The washing machine is expensive too, 50D for a load of only 5kg, and it's kept locked up, so there are lots of trips back and forth to reception. The pool didn't look very clean, some showers don't work, and the bathrooms seriously need updating.

The pool was the best part. We're camping in our motorhome, and this is our fifth site in Morocco, so far the best. It's a beautiful oasis with friendly, relaxed staff and a restaurant serving delicious Tagine. The sanitary facilities are cleaned regularly and have hot running water, and there's a washing machine too. It's 18km outside Essaouria. I would definitely come back.

We only stayed one night, but it was good value for money. The staff were friendly and breakfast was good. The electricity kept cutting out during the night while it was cold and the electric heater was on, which was probably the reason. They offered us another room.
