Hôtel Oasis Dakhla

We first planned to stay just one night at Oasis, but ended up adding two more. We’re traveling by 4x4 through Marocco and Mauritania for six months and wanted a few comfortable days before heading into the deep Sahara. It’s a lovely boutique hotel with only 7 rooms, all decorated beautifully. The staff welcomed us warmly, and the owner, Loic Gouilloud, is really cool and personally looks after guests. We loved our time here and would happily return. I warmly recommend it.

The construction was a big part of my three-week stay. I asked to cancel and book somewhere else, but they refused. The owner told me it had been going on for the past 10 years, so my experience doesn’t seem like an exception.

The bay views are breathtaking, and all the plants and flowers make the place feel cozy and welcoming. Hotel Oasis Dakhla is made up of beautiful terraced houses with just a few apartments, so it feels peaceful and intimate. Service was warm and attentive. There was a delicious breakfast, and food or drinks were available anytime. The little infinity pool was just right for cooling off in the summer heat. I’m so glad I stayed here and hope to come back soon.

We loved our stay, even though it was too short. It was peaceful and private, with friendly, attentive staff, a comfortable room, and a great breakfast. I’d suggest getting a room with a sea view, and we hope to return. One small issue: guests don’t have a key for the front door. When we came back once, nobody answered the bell for 10 minutes, so we left and returned after dinner without a problem.
