Zephyr Mazagan

The rooms were pleasant, but there were lots of flying insects inside and they were missing many supplies. The air conditioning didn’t work either. The upside is the hotel’s position by the sea, with a view of both the pool and beach.

The kitchen stayed open late and made a lovely fish, and the staff were friendly. Zephyr is an older resort, though the rooms are spacious. Our living room’s air conditioner and heater weren’t working, even though the bedroom units were. It’s a great location if you drive, but town is too far to walk to. I’d happily come back.

The beach view was incredible, and both the room and hotel were clean and appealing. For a budget hotel, it exceeded what I expected during my one-night stay last January. Getting downtown is a challenge since it’s far away, taxis are rare, and you need your own transport. I also wasn’t keen on checkout: after you leave, the front desk has to inspect your room before giving you full checkout.

The spectacular sea views can make a holiday here even better. Zephyr Mazagan is by the coast, close to El Jadida and right by the highway exit toward Casablanca. It’s one of the best Zephyr hotels. I’d encourage people to try it, especially in summer or early autumn.
