The owner was lovely and had good food tips, including buying fish at the local market and asking a restaurant to cook it. We also made use of the terrace overlooking the city rooftops to hang our clothes. Our apartment was colorful and nice, with an authentic Moroccan feel, and the location was really good.

It was nice to sit on the terrace and enjoy the great roof view, and the host was kind and flexible about check-in and check-out. The location is convenient, close to the old town Medina and about 1 km from the port. In our room there was no hot water in the bathroom, and noise came in from both the stairs and the neighboring room, which had no sound insulation.

The owner was friendly and great, though our stay itself was just okay. A few pieces of cutlery were missing, and the place was quite basic, as expected. There was no heating, and the small heater the owner brought wasn’t enough to warm the place.

The owner was really nice and helped us with everything. Our rooftop apartment was very clean, had some dishes and a cooker, and offered a great view where we could sit outside in the sun. Everything is close by since the place is right in the city centre. I highly recommend it if you’re staying in Essaouira!
