Hotel Emeraude Essaouira

The staff were really nice, and we stayed for 4 nights in room 32 on the highest floor, at terrace level where breakfast is served. The room was very small, though the decor helped make up for that. Breakfast was very good, but after a couple of days it started to feel repetitive. A bit more variety and more fruit would be nice for people staying longer. The riad is inside the medina, just steps from a gate, so getting in and out with luggage doesn't take long. The beach is also an easy walk away.

The mood here is laid back and familiar, and the staff are warm and caring. The owner is a lovely, personable woman, and Kamid, the manager, went above and beyond. The service is amazing. The rooms, breakfast, and outside noise reminded me of a decent motel in a busy area. It's just a 5min walk from the bus stop entrance to the Medina, with the Souk and all the Medina's old, rustic, new, and conceptual sides easy to explore. I forgot to photograph the beautiful lobby and reception, which was a bummer. Sit in the lounge, lean back on the couches, and look up toward the stairs to appreciate the decor.

The breakfast on the sunny terrace was our favourite part, and our room had everything we needed. Everyone on staff was kind and accommodating, and made us feel at home. The riad is in a quieter part of the medina, but only a 5 minute walk from everything you need. The beach is a 10 minute walk away. We loved our stay and couldn't fault it. The wifi was the best we had here, even on the top floor. Our favourite place in Essaouira by far, we'd absolutely come back. J'adore.

It's easy to find the riad because it's right by one of the Medina entrances. The room was clean and modern, and the Wifi worked the whole time. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the staff were all lovely. We asked for tea one evening and offered to pay, but they made it for us at no extra charge. Definitely recommend staying here!
