The staff were nice, and breakfast was okay, though it varied: one morning there were eggs and more to eat, while the next was just so-so and had no eggs. We went out for a second breakfast afterward to get the day started properly. For the price, the stay worked out fine for us since we're easygoing and not very sensitive to this sort of thing. The location was great, but our room had musty air. There was no exterior window, so ventilation was poor. We couldn't leave the window open overnight because noise from the courtyard would come in, and we had to keep it shut when we were out for security. If stale or damp air bothers you, I can see why people complain and would avoid it. I also hope whoever replies to reviews can be kinder. Going after people for raising problems comes off as petty and bad for business, and could put off future guests. Take criticism with a bit of grace. The place has potential, and improving the air and responding less aggressively would help. Wishing you success.

We felt great here. It was one of our best stays in Morocco, a traditional riad with a terrace, kept very clean and in good condition. The staff were friendly and attentive, and breakfast was good. Highly recommend it.

The staff didn't respond properly when we reported problems, including a broken showerhead and air conditioning that wasn't working, and they didn't apologize. The sheets and towels looked old and stained, and there was a musty smell through the building. Breakfast was poor and offered little variety. We also found the location inconvenient for reaching many city attractions. My stay at Riad Sidi Madghoul was frustrating and disappointing, and I can't recommend it. I'd advise finding somewhere else in the area.

The staff were lovely, and I wouldn't call the stay terrible, but the riad didn't meet our expectations. We booked through airbnb and asked for bathroom photos; they told us it was similar to the room, but it wasn't. The room was nice, while the toilet area was completely at odds with it. It was clean, but poorly maintained and not comfortable for keeping towels, shampoo, toilet paper, and other things. The terrace was too dirty for us to enjoy. After several miserable days, we decided to leave and request a refund for the remaining nights booked through airbnb, but the owner wouldn't give one. One night might be fine, but I wouldn't stay longer.
