Palais D'hôtes Suites & SPA Fes

The breakfast and dinner area is gorgeous, with a nice little community feel, and we didn't try the pool or hammam, though I'm sure they're great. The staff were wonderful, helpful, friendly, and happy to accommodate requests. Getting there the first time can be a little confusing, especially at 1am, but after that we used online maps to get around the Medina without trouble. We stayed in two rooms because of a change to our itinerary, and the difference was striking. The first was a standard room, small with a double bed and an okay bathroom, and it felt like a letdown for a five-star hotel. We struggled to get hot water at 1am, and couldn't get the heat working, so it was a bit cool. Our second room was the suite we'd originally booked, and it felt five-star: spacious, with a queen bed, heating, and a lovely private bathroom down a flight of stairs, as we'd been told in advance. Hot water still seemed a bit unreliable at times, perhaps because supply is limited at peak hours. The rooms can be spectacular if you get the right one. I'd recommend this friendly, chic, upscale riad in Fes.

The rooms were clean and spacious, including the bathrooms. The staff, especially mohamad and youssef, were friendly and helpful. We also had a Moroccan hamam and massage with zaynab and naiima. It was a great experience, and both were very professional.

The whole riad looks like it belongs in an Arabian fairy tale, with an authentic feel and genuinely exceptional service. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. Rooms and suites are comfortable, and some have their own balcony. With a restaurant and Spa on site, you don't need to go back out after a long day sightseeing. Definitely somewhere to stay when visiting Fez.

The service was the best part. Youssef was a fantastic host, always cheerful and ready to help. I enjoyed tea and biscuits on the terrace. There was another gentleman who was great too, but I'm sorry, I can't remember his name right now. We had one room and the kids had another. The rooms were beautiful and elegant, and the hotel itself is full of Moroccan art and craftsmanship. We had a lovely dinner on the terrace and breakfast there too, though you can eat downstairs if you prefer. The food was better than most of the restaurants we visited, and it was nice to have a hot shower. This was a great find, and I'd highly recommend the hostel.
