Riad Andalib

Four nights at this riad in Fez left us feeling right at home. Eman served a generous Moroccan breakfast, and the msemen was the best. Reibal, the proprietor, was patient, kind, and attentive to all our requests, with help from Omar and the rest of the staff. Since it was our first visit to Fez, Reibal helped us get oriented and feel at ease exploring. The riad's details are lovely, and the location puts you in the middle of the activity while still feeling peaceful. We'd be glad to come back.

We lost my phone in a local taxi, and Reibal and Iman went out of their way to help us get it back within a couple of hours. They're truly special people. Riad Andalib itself is superb, with spacious rooms and easy taxi access. Julien, the boss cat, is an especially handsome and sassy creature. We had a spectacular stay.

Reibal gave us useful advice for getting around the medina, including sticking to the two main streets and heading back to the Blue Gate if we got lost. He was welcoming and friendly, and the staff were attentive and accommodating. We ate at the riad both evenings, and the pastilla and Moroccan soup were delicious. Julian the cat was a nice bonus. The interior has traditional Moroccan decor and felt clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Its position at the edge of the medina made exploring Fes easy, while offering a quiet place to return to. We loved our two nights at Riad Andalib and would recommend it.

The owner is warm and generous with advice, and his knowledge of Fez's history and culture added a lot to our visit. The riad is beautiful, with thoughtful details throughout, and the service was caring and attentive. It made for a standout stay in the heart of the city.
