Room-riad Taha - Roukia Room

A peaceful little find in the old medina. The traditional design is lovely, the staff are really friendly, and it feels calm inside despite all the lively city activity outside.

We booked at short notice after our other riad was overbooked, and ended up having a really nice stay. The host was kind and helpful, and both the rooms and breakfast were great. Everything was clean and looked good. Thanks for having us!

Such a lovely, quiet atmosphere, with all the colours and scents of Morocco around you. This is exactly the kind of place I hoped to find in Fes. The rooms are nice, the food is great, and its spot in the old medina worked well for us. The staff speak several languages and helped us with anything we needed to know or plan. I really appreciated the experience.

The host was helpful with information about Fes, and his tips saved us time. He also helped us get cell phone service. He made us dinner at 11 pm when we arrived, which was kind, but only told us afterward that it cost an extra 10 euros per person. The way he spoke about it beforehand made it sound included, so that felt sneaky. We also found the place much smaller than expected. Our room was beside the dining area on the main floor, which left us with little privacy, and the bathroom was extremely cramped. I had to bend to get in, and the shower was barely there. Getting to the riad was confusing too: GPS wasn't accurate, and we ended up on a pedestrian staircase because the area isn't for cars. Call the hotel and ask them to meet you where you are.
