Auberge Kasbah Dar Sahara Tours - Hostel

Our driver was polite, humble, and nice, and the ride to Er Chigaga was smooth. We had a fantastic time on the 4x4 trip. The hotel room was spacious and clean, and the shower had strong pressure and properly hot water despite the desert location. I’d strongly recommend it.

Mbarek planned a program around what we wanted, and he was a really pleasant host and guide. We started with a night at Auberge Kasbah Dar Sahara Tours, where we left our extra bags and rental car. Dinner on the terrace as the sun set was delicious, as was breakfast the next morning. Then we headed out by 4x4, stopping at the Oasis of the Holy Man for a freshly made lunch. The bumpy ride through Erg Chegaga’s tall dunes was exciting. At the camp we tried sandboarding and took a lovely sunset camel ride, then had dinner and a memorable evening by the fire listening to traditional songs. We had a wonderful desert trip with Mbarek, thank you for it!

M‘barak was funny, lovely, and there whenever we needed help. Our three day trip started with camel trekking and a night in a mobile camp under the stars, then we went to erg chigaga in a 4x4 the next day. We tried sandboarding, had delicious tajine and traditional sand bread, and made friends along the way, especially Ali Baba, the best camel ever! It’s been our favourite experience in Morocco so far, and I’m so grateful.

I’ve gone into the desert with Mbarek twice, and it’s been my best desert experience. He’s kind and a great host. The trip, bivouac, music, and everything else are lovely. I’d definitely recommend it.
