Le Drom'Blanc

The beds and breakfast were the only things we could point to as good. There were plenty of staff, and some were friendly, but the welcome felt colder than anywhere else we'd been during our two weeks in Morocco. The hotel may once have been lovely, but it now seems run down: bare wood, an unclean pool, an untended garden, and hoses and cables lying around. We found lots of insects and spiders in the room, and the plumbing was broken. It was a letdown in such a beautiful, friendly country.

The staff are keen to please, and there’s a good choice of quality food. Our spacious rooms had plenty of character, built from mud brick and either detached or semi-detached. With the Sahara right at the edge of the property, it’s hard to find much to fault. There’s AC if you need it, though the cool night breeze is lovely to enjoy. The fridges seem to work well too, judging by how readily available the cold beers were. Highly recommended.

The room was okay, and breakfast was basic. At breakfast, the staff looked bored, and they weren’t very friendly. We stayed for one night and asked about booking a desert safari, but in the end we went elsewhere because this felt very commercial, like it was driven by money. There were nine of us, and we had a great time at the swimming pool. The children loved the place and didn't want to leave. The juice was fresh, and the staff were very kind. The owner was one of the kindest people you could meet.
