The clean, pleasant bedroom and friendly breakfast staff were highlights. Breakfast was cooked fresh, though there weren’t many options and we couldn’t choose what to have. It was still good, especially the fresh orange juice, and coffee and tea were available. The staff tried hard to make us happy. We had a frustrating issue with the booking. I reserved two rooms online for six people, but the confirmation showed two rooms for four. The hotel reservation team told me by email that they’d correct it without extra cost. When we arrived, though, they said the booking only covered four and wanted extra payment for all six. Fatima, who handled the reservation, wasn’t very helpful online or in person. The other staff were kind and helpful, especially Azadin, who kindly fixed my glasses frame after it broke during the journey and wouldn’t take payment, even though I offered. The hotel is in the center of the old Marrakesh Medina, with markets on both sides that you have to pass through to get anywhere. The area is very old, and Google Maps doesn’t show the exact location, so you may need to ask locals how to find it. They were friendly and helpful, and some spoke English very well.

Finding it was fairly easy for our first visit to Marrakesh, and everyone made us feel welcome. Jemaa el-Fnaa, the main square, is only about an 11-minute walk away. The riad is lovely, with beautiful rooms and very kind hosts.

Saeed and Azeddine were the best, and I’d happily recommend this place to anyone heading to Marrakech. It’s a cute little riad right in the centre. Our room was clean and had everything we needed, and breakfast was amazing.

We were even picked up after getting lost at the wrong Riad, which was so helpful. The staff were friendly, and the room was spotless and comfortable, with lovely Moroccan details. Many local sights and the car park by the mosque are within easy walking distance.
