The owner's help was what stood out most. They replied almost right away to my questions after booking, helped with issues once I arrived, offered useful recommendations, and made sure I had what I needed. Dar Essaki 1886 is a peaceful place in the Medina, and the house is clean and beautifully preserved. It has a lot of authentic Moroccan character, with the modern comforts you need. It felt like stepping back in time. I'd definitely come back, and highly recommend it if you're after an authentic, well-managed stay.

We stayed in the family room, which meant our three children could stay with us instead of being split up. The rooms and shared spaces were clean and well maintained. Check-in was simple: someone met us at the medina gate and showed us the way. The owner even took us on a sightseeing drive on our last day, which we hadn't expected and really appreciated. The place is right in the heart of the medina, on a quiet side street where we felt safe. The hospitality was hard to beat.

I don't usually leave many reviews, but this was such a good find that I'm making an exception. The place is beautiful and clean, and the owner is attentive and will go out of his way to help if you reach him on WhatsApp. It was a peaceful break from the old town's hustle and bustle.

It's a spotless traditional Moroccan guesthouse, and the owners are friendly. They can come meet you and guide you through the maze of alleyways for check-in. The location is right in the heart of the Medina, and there's a great rooftop terrace. There's no restaurant, but the breakfast cafes at Petit Socco are only about 6 minutes around the corner.

The staff were incredibly helpful, and on my checkout day the owner took my friends and me out for a drive to some beautiful places. He also bought us sweets and food. That generosity was something else, and I'd never had that kind of hospitality before. Thanks for a lovely stay ❤ The rooms were comfortable, the rooftop was beautiful, and the location was excellent, right in the center of Madina with everything within walking distance 👍🙏
