The internet was almost unusable at night, and the hot water for showers seemed to run on a timer. It wasn't available in the early morning, from around midnight until dawn, which was especially inconvenient. If both worked more reliably, this could easily have been a five-star stay. We enjoyed this traditional Moroccan riad in the heart of the Tangier medina. It's very convenient, just a two-minute walk from the drop-off point. The building is beautiful and authentic, our room was clean and comfortable, and the fourth-floor rooftop terrace has spectacular panoramic views of the hillside buildings and distant sea. Breakfast was excellent too.

We appreciated how hard the staff tried to communicate with us in English and Spanish. The car service to and from the airport, and for a half-day of exploring, was helpful. There are no lifts, so you need to be mobile, and the old city does get noisy. The Wi-Fi worked well. It was the right choice for us because the location made it easy to explore the Old City, its sights, and good food. Breakfast on the roof was amazing, both the views and the food. The rooms were unique and made us feel like we were experiencing Morocco.

It's different from staying in an ordinary hotel room. I loved the peaceful atmosphere and breakfast up on the rooftop. You're close to all the good places to eat, and it's truly the best area in Tanger if you're after an authentic feel.

The location near the Medina Gate meant we didn't have to drag our luggage far up the alleyways, and the terrace had good views. Breakfast was okay, but the stay itself felt basic. The rooms looked a bit rundown, and the carpets were dirty. Our shower head was broken, and the hot water was sometimes off. When we asked one morning, they said they'd turn it on, so you have to ask because they sometimes shut it off. There was no kettle for tea either. It wasn't worth what we paid.

The staff were excellent and ready to help with any questions, and the location was easy to find and very good. It's a lovely riad in a truly Moroccan style, with great terrace views and a great breakfast. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
