The Desert Palace was one of the highlights of our trip around Morocco, even after seeing so many beautiful places. The tents are spacious and clean, and the garden is lovely and carefully kept. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, but the food deserves a mention of its own. It was some of the best we ate in the country. Thanks to the whole crew for making the stay unforgettable. Until next time!

The evening by the fireplace, with the staff singing and drumming, was a special part of our two-night stay. Our daughter loved the drums, and Mohamed kindly showed her how to play. The camel ride was memorable too: our child was allowed to ride while an adult accompanied the group, and we were offered another ride at sunrise for free. We’d choose The Desert Palace again if we returned to Erg Chebbi, even with the rather upmarket price, which we were happy to pay for this setting. The beds were comfortable, and our tent had a shower and toilet in a separate room. Sara communicated very well and sent useful information in advance. The camp has wonderful tents and seating areas that stand out among the other camps nearby. Mohamed took good care of guests, checking on us often, and the cook made very tasty breakfast and lunch. Sara also handled an issue during our stay professionally and beyond expectations. We hope the camp keeps focusing on sustainable tourism.

We were lucky to spend two nights at the Desert Palace in Merzouga. Sara, her children, and the whole staff were so kind. The people, tents, food, and dromedars were all five stars. This is one of the earliest places established in Merzouga, and it has kept its charm by staying connected to traditional berber customs.

The camp is beautifully decorated with trees and palm trees, rather than just basic white tents. The staff were accommodating when we asked to have dinner earlier for the children, and there are plenty of board games to keep kids entertained. Breakfast was great too. Our pickup in Merzouga, camel ride, dinner, and service were all very good. The dinner was among the best we had in Morocco, even better than a meal at an upscale restaurant in Marrakesh that cost us over 100 EUR. Sara’s communication was smooth, with all the information we needed to prepare, and she replied quickly on WhatsApp. One thing to know is that the camp isn’t in an isolated area. There are camps all around, so a camel ride can feel like Disneyland in the dunes, with lots of other groups. For more privacy, you could go after breakfast when no one will be there, or choose a more isolated camp. We were treated like kings, and the facilities are top notch. Highly recommend.

The dunes were wonderful, and we loved the food and evening show. We only stayed one night, but wished we could have stayed longer. Even during the busiest time of year, NYE, when all resorts were sold out, Ali and Sara treated us like the most exclusive guests. Mohamed looked after us at the property, and communication with the resort was flawless and very professional. They were flexible with our arrival and needs. Sara and Ali arranged a fantastic three-day excursion from Marrakech to the Desert Camp. Our driver and guide, Ahmed, was friendly and made us feel safe, while showing us the best attractions along the way and entertaining us so well. The glamping room and bathroom were pristine, with clean, comfortable sheets and our own shower and bathroom. It was chilly in the desert at night, but the heavy blankets were enough without a heater. What a magical experience and lovely stay. Thank you!
