Being able to walk to the nearby desert in about ten minutes was a highlight for me, and I enjoyed this place a lot. They offer a one-night camel trip for 300dh, though I personally preferred exploring the area on foot. The hospitality was lovely, and for 150dh a night you get breakfast and a huge dinner. That sounds pricey, but it was the best deal I found in Hassilabied. They also do laundry for free and help you get around the village. I don't know why this hostel isn't more popular, it could be one of the best in Morocco.

Thanks so much to Amar. The desert outing was amazing, especially how quiet it was as we sat looking up at a sky full of stars. I'd recommend it without hesitation.

Traveling as a woman backpacker, I felt well looked after here. The owner was kind, dependable, and very welcoming, and he speaks Japanese and English. He suggested local cafes and restaurants, booked my bus at no charge, and picked me up from the stop near the hostel without me even asking. That was a huge help since I arrived in the evening. After I got back from the desert tour in the morning, he also let me rest on his bed until my bus came. I'd recommend staying here, especially to other female backpackers.

I couldn't stay the night because my trip was so short, but the welcome was wonderful! Even though I'd only booked the 2-day, 1-night desert tour for 300 dh, they let me use a room, shower, and Wi-Fi from my early morning arrival until I headed home. They even had breakfast ready when I returned from the tour. I really enjoyed meeting such kind and friendly Berber people! Highly recommended.
