We spent the night at a desert camp run by Berbers and watched the sunset, moonrise and sunrise play across the great dunes. The whole experience was amazing. We drove from Fes to Rissani, changed from our passenger van to 4x4s, and stayed a night at the desert hotel before riding camels into the Sahara the next day after breakfast. I'd recommend staying two nights. One night may seem cheaper, but it won't give you the same experience. If you're coming from Fes by private car, be ready for a 10 hour drive, and longer by bus. From Marrakech, it'll be even longer.

The pool was a refreshing oasis in the hot sun, and Hassan and his staff were friendly and helpful. The Er Chebbi dunes look amazing, especially from the terrace at sunset and sunrise. You can watch the stars and Milky Way too. The place and food have a traditional Berber feel, and they can arrange a camel tour. Everything you need for a real taste of desert life.

The tent was cozy, with a double bed, toilet and shower inside, though it wasn't spotless. The food was traditional and exotic. It was my first time staying in the desert, and I loved it. The place is well organized, and all the staff are friendly and professional. It was definitely a great experience for me.

Kasbah bivouac lahamada is a great place to relax and enjoy the desert at erg chebi merzouga 🏜️. Hassan Mohamed are the best managers, with wonderful hospitality, nice music 🎶 and Berber drums of Sáhara. Zak
