Said and Mohammed made our stop in Ouarzazate far more meaningful than we expected. We had only planned to break up the trip from merzouga to marrakech, and the city hadn't really won us over at first. Their tour of the kasbah and old village changed that, with so many stories and languages between them. We would have missed a fascinating part of Moroccan history and culture without them. The riad is beautifully decorated, and dinner and breakfast were carefully prepared and delicious, with plenty of gluten free choices, including bread. The rooftop is stunning at sunset. We felt very lucky to have stayed here.

Mohammed made us feel at home from the start. He’s warm and open-minded, and you can tell he truly cares about guests. The riad was beautiful and very clean. Breakfast was nice, though it could use a little more variety. Everything else about our stay was just right, and I’d happily recommend it.

The town is small and there isn't a lot to do, but Dar Kamar was a great place to stay for a day or two. The staff were lovely, showed us around, and served tasty food and drinks. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the terrace. We stopped in Ouarzazate on the way back from the Sahara after shortening our drive, and were glad we chose this place. Don't miss trying the food.

Mohammed kept us company in the morning with a really good conversation about the place and the religious practices there. He was friendly and helpful throughout. The hotel was excellent, and the vegetarian meals they served at both dinner and breakfast were great.

Breakfast on the rooftop was amazing, and the staff were so friendly. The hotel itself is gorgeous. It's a little set back from the main road, but definitely worth finding. Highly recommend.
