Az Hotel Rabat Centre

The restaurant downstairs served great food, and the service there was impeccable. The hotel is in a great downtown spot, close to the Medina, and I stayed for a week. Breakfast was the weak point. I felt obliged to eat it every morning because I had booked it, but the selection was poor: cold tea and coffee, ghraif, limited pastries and no yoghurt. There wasn't enough cutlery or crockery, and clearing and resetting tables took a very long time. For the room price, breakfast was disappointing. I'd leave it off and pay separately downstairs or try one of the many nearby cafés, including Le Comedie next door. It would also be nice if the AC/heating weren't centrally controlled for every room.

We ate here often, though we didn't stay here. The staff were the reason we kept coming back, and the food was amazing. They were busy, but nothing seemed too much trouble for them. It's a pity the manager didn't help them serve or clear tables and instead berated them. I'd give the food and staff 10 stars if I could, but the manager gets one.

The food looked great, tasted decent, and was good value, but the service was awful. We waited 15 minutes just to get menus, then 50 minutes for three liberty breakfasts. Pancakes were included, but they had none and didn't tell us. The orange juice and potato croquettes never arrived either. When I asked, the server raised his voice. The restaurant wasn't even busy. They charged us the full price despite the missing items. If food is taking a while, at least apologize or bring the coffee out. I wouldn't go back.

The food was tasty and reasonably priced, and the place was clean. Mr. Mustapha Elkacimi stood out for his warm hospitality, professional manner, care for guests and excellent service. He made the breakfast experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended.
