The spa was a real highlight, especially the hammam and massage. Charifa and Fatima made the experience wonderful, and I loved it. The room was beautiful, the amenities were excellent, and the restaurant was great too. Everyone on staff was so kind and helpful. We had an amazing stay and hope to visit again.

Our garden-view room was spacious, with a really comfortable bed and a roomy bathroom. It was very clean, and they left us complimentary snacks. Service was pretty good, though the food we'd ordered was left in the hallway all night and never taken away.

The location was excellent, but the hotel fell far short of four-star standards. We were six friends in three rooms, and four of us had to move because of bad odors and clogged sinks. Two bathtubs drained poorly, while the bathroom in the third room flooded. One friend slipped on the soapy water, hit their head, and needed medical care and stitches. There was construction noise throughout our stay, and it also disrupted the water flow in the rooms. The rooms smelled musty, the carpets were dirty and unpleasant, and opening the balcony doors let in flies because there were no screens. Breakfast was okay but had little variety. The person at the egg station seemed irritated when guests requested how they wanted their eggs and struggled to understand English. I'm extremely disappointed that Gate1 chose this hotel. It doesn't meet the expected standards, especially when it comes to guest safety.

The people were friendly and the room was clean, but ours hadn't been renovated. The bed was awful, like something from a cheap motel or a guest room meant to discourage visitors from staying long. With no AC in November, it got hot unless we opened the door to the noisy traffic and horns. Breakfast was below par compared with other hotels we've stayed at. That 4.7 rating seems optimistic at best.
