Riad Zeina

The rooftop terrace was a lovely spot, cozy and beautifully decorated, and the breakfast was outstanding. Alexis and Soukaîna gave us excellent hospitality, and the riad was very comfortable. The staff were charming and discreet. They also showed us the other riads, which were just as magnificent, including some with lovely rooftop pools.

The service was poor during our Monday to Friday stay, which cost €140 a night. They didn't replace the shampoo or shower gel, or replenish the empty water bottles and dried fruit. The terrace had very little furniture, and it's tiny, with a rather unappealing view. One night we came back at 11 pm to find a party in the central lobby. It went on until 1 am, then staff started cleaning up. Nobody had told us this was happening, and there wasn't even a small goodwill gesture afterward. The riad itself is typical and on a quiet street, but I strongly advise against staying here. I've stayed at Kebira and Kalaa, and this was nothing like those.

The room was well equipped, the service attentive, and breakfast excellent. This newly renovated riad from the Rabat Riads group is very well placed in the Medina, just steps from the Kasbah of the Udayas. A great option.

The rooms are clean but very basic, just the bare minimum. For the price, the service feels average, and compared with other riads, I don't see what justifies the cost.
