I've never had a worse hotel night. Mosquitoes were the biggest problem, and I killed more than 30 of them. They kept biting while I tried to sleep, so I was up killing them until 2am. At 4.30am I went to reception asking for another room just so I could sleep the last 2.5 hours, but they told me to pack up and move instead. The hotel was also full of cockroaches. We came in December 2025 with a tour group from LGE Singapore. Our itinerary said Chefchaouen, but we were driven 1.5hrs away to this hotel. Breakfast was very basic, and the service was terrible. Even a 2 star hotel in Delhi is better.
We visited in winter, so it was very quiet. Lovely place, and the beach was beautiful.
The pool was cute, but that's about the only good thing I can say. There was banging and building work from the moment we checked in, and we had no hot water. It's still cold here in May, so how can they not provide hot water? The place cost over six times what I'd consider acceptable, even at $20 a night. I've been in Morocco for some time, and this is probably the worst-managed business I've come across. It should be closed, or turned into a hostel for the homeless.
Every room had a strange moldy smell, and mosquitoes bit us at night. Keep the sliding doors closed. The AC barely worked in the third room we were moved to, and didn't work in our first room or the one next door. I wouldn't stay here again. 2/10. Checking in early was nice, though they couldn't find my reservation at first and nearly charged me twice before we sorted it out. The metal detectors seemed to be just for show, while security was overzealous about profiling young guests and sometimes urgently following them around. After I came back from the beach, they also assumed I wasn't a guest and was just trying to use the pool, but that was cleared up quickly. I didn't like the sign banning Burkinis, especially in a Muslim country. For some reason, staff wouldn't speak to me directly. I politely told them English or Arabic was fine.
