Riad Tifnit Acienda

For the last stop on our family trip around Morocco, we went to Riad Tifnit Acienda near Agadir after nearly four hours of travel. We were shocked when we arrived: the room had just one bed and a sofa, even though I had booked one for three people. It was dirty and moldy, nothing like the pictures. We’re still very disappointed and really wouldn’t recommend this place.

We were meant to stay four nights but could only manage one. The hosts were friendly, but the riad fell far below our hygiene standards. There were three cockroaches in the room, and the sheets smelled bad, felt sticky and had blood stains. I know it’s right next to the sea, but everything was very humid. The room door didn’t close properly, and although the location is nice, the surrounding area was also dirty and smelly. We had fish for dinner once, and it was tasty. Breakfast was poor, just a dry pancake and a small amount of honey for six people.

A peaceful, calm place in a small village by the sea, with a terrace overlooking it. The lovely people there take good care of you, and there are lots of activities, including horse and camel riding and quad biking. We definitely had a great time. Highly recommended :)

The place and its surroundings feel wonderfully authentic. It’s very convenient for surfing, with long, big waves coming in just around the corner.
