We left for another hostel as soon as we could, and had a much better stay there. We wouldn’t come back here. The place was filthy and nothing like its photos. The mattresses felt like plastic gym crash pads and were extremely uncomfortable. The sheets and blankets were itchy and seemed unwashed. The showers were a mess too: there was nowhere to hang the shower head, so you had to hold it, and the bathroom door didn’t lock properly. The location was another downside. It’s farther from both the beach and Taghazout’s main area than other hostels, with little of a view to make up for it. The owner wasn’t very helpful. Although trips and activities are advertised, day trips don’t actually run every day. We couldn’t understand the high price compared with other Taghazout hostels that are cleaner, more comfortable, better located, and much cheaper. We stayed a couple of nights before moving on, and definitely wouldn’t stay again.

Ismael and Youssef gave great service and were very flexible. Checkout was at noon, but they let me stay and use the shower until 8 pm. I recommend the hostel for its great rooftop, though I wouldn’t recommend the private bedroom. It felt more like a prison cell, with no bedside light, window, or ventilation.

Ismail is such a lovely person at reception. I had a great time here, and Hajar made the nicest couscous on Friday. What a group of legends. I’ll definitely be back!!!!

After staying in quite a few hostels while traveling, I’d say this is probably the best one I’ve tried. It’s attractive and clean, and just the right size. The rooftop is great for relaxing or meeting up with other travelers. The staff are wonderful and welcoming. Special mention to Mehdi, who knows loads about surfing and can tell when and where to go for the best waves. If the sea is flat, he’s also happy to take you fishing on surfboards. I’ll definitely come back 🙂

Lovely day in Taghazout, and a great place to stay. The staff were really nice, and the rooftop terrace was amazing and spacious.
