Boutique Guesthouse Dar Zohra

We loved our stay at this gorgeous hotel. Abdou and the staff were so friendly and helpful, and the spacious rooms have balconies with lovely views. Breakfast was generous and delicious, and we ate at the hotel both evenings because the food was excellent. The dining room and lounge were relaxing places to sit and meet other guests. Highly recommended.

Danielle, her daughter Zohra, and the staff, especially Abder, were wonderful hosts. It’s a great base for a one- or two-day break from Marrakesh, with hikes to Berber Villages and stunning drives into the Atlas mountains.

We found the owners and Abdul, our host, extremely kind and hospitable. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the whole property felt tranquil, clean, and relaxing. It’s been built in harmony with its surroundings, with careful attention to detail and stunning views of the river valley and mountains from the rooms and terraces. I’d highly recommend staying here while exploring the Ourika Valley, or just for a night or two away from Marrakesh. You won’t regret it.

Khalid guided us on a hike to a Berber Village and was knowledgeable and fun. The hotel arranged it for us, and there’s also a small village within walking distance, with craft stores and food and drink by the river. We really enjoyed our couple of nights at Dar Zhora and hope to return soon. Set just above the Ourika Valley, the hotel has wonderful west-facing views along the valley from our room and its communal terraces. Our room was clean and spacious, with coffee and tea facilities and a non-alcoholic mini bar, plus a terrace with beautiful views. We ate at the hotel both nights, and the Tagines were exceptional. Everyone working there was lovely and nothing felt like too much trouble.
