Hotel Marrakech

From the balcony you can see Grand Socco, and the terrace is a nice spot to relax with a snack or a smoke. The service was good, and for a short stay this place is pretty decent. It’s right in the medina, near the beach, Muraille de Tanger, and Grand Socco. Traffic outside can be loud, but that’s to be expected in the heart of the city.

Staying in the Medina worked well, since everything was close by, and the price was good for what we got. The hotel itself was decent. There’s no elevator, so carrying luggage up the stairs was difficult, though you wouldn’t really expect a lift in a medina hotel.

There were no lights in the room, just wires sticking out of the wall, and there was no hot water. I was trying to sort out the Wi-Fi at 8am before my flight, but reception told me people were sleeping. It turns out he was the one asleep. The Wi-Fi was different on each floor. Come on, you work at a hotel.

Our room had its own balcony, and the top floor had lots of seating with beautiful city views. We were even upgraded to the best room at no extra charge. The owner greeted us warmly by name, and check-in was quick before I was shown to my room. Service stayed excellent throughout. Each floor has its own Wi-Fi, and souks, parks, the beach, and other spots are about a minute away. A really outstanding stay.
