Le Mirage Tanger

We agreed to a minimum spend of 250 per person when we visited Mirage Hotel’s restaurant, but the meal was disappointing. The food was below average, and the supposed fresh mango juice was just a cup of cheap Al Boustane juice. The dessert tasted as though it had been made days earlier. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re there just for the beach view. The rest isn’t worth it.

The view from the panoramic terrace was lovely, but the service was extremely disappointing. I’d gone for coffee while considering bringing a group of 50 golfers to stay at the hotel. At first, a waitress suggested a table, but it was missing a chair. I politely asked another waiter to get one for my father. He said the table was “only for three people” and refused, even though there were clearly four of us. He was rude and unwelcoming. We eventually worked out a solution ourselves. When he took our order, he struggled to communicate and spoke over me before I’d finished explaining. I ordered a black Americano but got a hot chocolate. When I pointed out the mistake, he argued that it was what I’d asked for and made no effort to fix it. I ended up drinking something I didn’t want while he spoke loudly to colleagues and pointed at me. It felt very uncomfortable and unprofessional. For a hotel presenting itself as a luxury destination and charging €12 for a coffee, I expected much better service. Mistakes happen, but arguing with customers and refusing a simple correction is unacceptable. This experience made me decide against bringing my group here. I’ll host them at another luxury hotel, Fairmont Tazi, where service and professionalism are taken seriously. I’d advise others to think twice before visiting.

The breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the room amenities were thoughtful and high standard. Between the beautifully designed rooms, great location and exceptional hospitality, everything at Le Eridge Tangier felt impeccable. Every detail showed real care and quality. A truly exceptional stay, highly recommend!

The atmosphere and design were nice, but the service left us disappointed. From the entrance, we were told there was a minimum charge of 250 MAD per person. Then, when we tried to order, staff said we had to place everything at once, even though we were going to meet the minimum anyway. The staff were very rude and didn’t speak English, which made it hard to communicate and get what we wanted. As Black visitors, we also felt we were treated differently from others, which made us uncomfortable and unwelcome. The service and staff attitude need serious improvement.
