Hotel La Renaissance Tata

The entrance is large and there was an easy place to keep our bikes. Climate control worked, the staff were nice, and they served wafer. Breakfast was good and the price reasonable. The rooms could use a renaissance, though.

Maybe this was a nice place to stay three years ago, but now it’s very poor. There was no hot water, and the water taps were damaged, among other problems. Better to go straight on 500m to the next hotel with a 5* review.

We loved our stay and would definitely come back. We’d booked two nights at the last minute while my association was in Tata, and the staff were flexible and helpful, even waiting for us when we arrived very late. Their kitchen was already closed at 2 after midnight, but they offered to get food for us from outside. They were lovely about giving us a late breakfast since we couldn’t wake up on time. The rooms were nicely furnished and had everything one might need. If anything else came up, one call was enough for the staff to bring it, even if they didn’t have it on hand. We ordered a lamb tagine for lunch, one of the most delicious I’ve ever tasted. The lady was sweet and let us make our own omelets and tea when we wanted to.

We were driving from Agadir to Zagora and needed somewhere to sleep after running very late. Even though we arrived around 2-3 a.m., the man at reception welcomed us politely and got check-in sorted quickly. The rooms were spacious and clean.
