A Secret Garden

The garden gives you a lovely view, and the room was decent. We enjoyed the food too. Finding the place was a little tricky, but a local showed us the way. The host speaks neither French nor English, though that wasn't a problem for us.

For an overnight stop, the rooms are adequate, though they don't have much character. The shower is private but the toilet is shared. I also got the impression the owner may have changed, since it no longer seemed to follow a vegetarian or sustainable concept. Getting there was the bigger issue. Parking is just a small spot by the road, followed by a dark, uneven, slippery path through the neighborhood. It's hard to find, with no signs, and awkward or dangerous with large, heavy bags. There was also a smell from sheep kept by local residents.

We found it very peaceful and comfortable, with an amazing view. The food was great, and Ismail was a helpful host who spoke English very well.

Ismael made us feel very welcome and took great care of us. We spent many sunny mornings on the balcony, looking across the garden to the surrounding crags. The setting is beautiful, and the food was delicious, with plenty of wonderful vegan choices for our dietary needs. We had a lovely stay at a Secret Garden and would definitely recommend it.
