Maison d'hôte Oasis de Tioute

Abdelmajids is a peaceful, lovely place with the feel of a genuine homestay. I found the rooms clean and the bathroom up to European standards, and dinner was both generous and delicious. Abdelmajid was a great host, sharing information about Morocco, local Berber culture, and things to do nearby. He took me on a walk through the village and oasis, explaining the area's history, then guided me into the more remote mountains, which were astonishingly beautiful.

Our stay in Tioute with Abdelmajid was the highlight of our whole trip to Morocco. He took us hiking to beautiful spots with breathtaking views and talked us through the local culture. The accommodation was clean and beautiful, the food was amazing, and Abdelmajid was an outstanding host. A truly unforgettable experience, and I can't recommend it enough.

Abdelmajid and his father welcomed us for tea and shared what they know about local history, traditions, religion, and nature. Fatima also made us a wonderful dinner. I even learned about how intelligent donkeys are. We had a great stay. Much love from Holland.

I hadn't booked ahead and arrived at the guesthouse soaked from the rain, but they welcomed me right in. It turned out to be exactly the sort of traditional Moroccan homestay I'd hoped for, with meals included, and it exceeded my expectations. Abdelmajid was so welcoming. I spent hours waiting out the rain on a comfy sofa in the guest living area. There's also a roof terrace that must be lovely when the weather's good, which is most of the time. I was cycling through and only stayed one night, though guests can arrange guided hikes or cycling trips if they stay longer. If you're passing through Tiout, I'd say this is the place to stay.
