We came across this place while visiting the monastery and decided on the spot to stay the night. At La Popas, we could choose between a room in the “new home” with its own bathroom or a slightly cheaper one in the older, wonderfully authentic house. We picked the second without hesitation. It felt lovely and cozy, and the owner was so kind and helpful, even though communication was a little tricky because she knows only a little English. The food was amazing. I’d definitely recommend it.

The museum and the sights are a real treat for the eyes and imagination. The location is gorgeous too. The food costs a lot, but it’s very tasty and all homemade. I’ve been here before and I’ll come back again.

There’s lots of room to spread out, with a big garden that’s clean and full of atmosphere. A lovely agritourism farm in the prettiest part of Moldova, surrounded by greenery.
