Like Home - Hostel

Jan was the highlight for me. He's kind, wise, and often available to help or share advice from his years of experience. The hostel itself is quiet and beautifully decorated, tucked on a side street about a five-minute walk from Tiraspol's main street. A heads-up about reservations: Jan said some platform bookings, including Hostelworld and Booking.com, may not reach the hostel or may show the wrong price because of problems with registration and converting prices into Pridnestrova rubles. I'd contact them directly on WhatsApp to make sure the booking goes through correctly. Things work a little differently in Pridnestrove, so a bit of patience helps.

The location worked really well, close to the center and near a good restaurant, Back In USSR. My room had a shower and was nice, and all the rooms, private or shared, are quite spacious. There's a Frenchman living and working at the hostel, so someone is around on the property. I didn't try the kitchen, though it looked well equipped.

We were three people and they put all of us in the same dorm, which worked out great. The place was clean, air-conditioned, and felt safe, with a warm welcome from everyone. The French guy was especially helpful with recommendations and just a nice person to talk to. We enjoyed our time in Pridnestrovie.

The staff were friendly, and the hostel was clean and pleasant. Tiraspol is small enough that you can get around everywhere on foot from here.
