A great spot with a fantastic view!

The owner was very friendly and easy to reach. The spacious studio had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It’s centrally located, close to the railway and bus stations, cafes, the beach, supermarkets, and a public transport stop.

There are two rental apartments at this address, and the photos show the larger one, but you aren’t guaranteed to get it. The location felt unusual. Most places in Bar are close, but the building is only a short walk from a supermarket. The beach is about 30 minutes away on foot, and the promenade is 10 minutes away, though the beaches are farther along. A Catholic cathedral stands next to the building and rings its bells every hour. They’re very loud, and with the windows open, the bells will wake you. The building is old, and the apartment is on the eighth floor. There’s a boiler for hot water, but it doesn’t provide enough for one person to shower properly. The towels are tiny, and there are just two, so it’s hard to see how you’re meant to dry off. We found only soap, salt, and dishwashing liquid among the supplies, so you have to buy everything else. There are very few dishes, and the one-burner electric stove is so bad that cooking on it isn’t really possible. The bed is small and very uncomfortable, and there’s barely any room in the bedroom. We had to message the owner each time to ask where to pick up the keys, how to find the building, and how to pay. IMPORTANT! The law requires the owner to register tenants and pay the tourist tax. This owner didn’t register us or even tell us that registration was necessary. At the border, they ask for proof of tax payment, and without the receipt they won’t let you leave. We could have faced a fine if our friends hadn’t warned us. We went to register ourselves, but had to call the owner to get his details. We also agreed to stay three extra days after our trip. The owner confirmed the booking, then rented the apartment to someone else for those dates without telling us. We were left scrambling to find somewhere else late that evening.

A grocery store and both the train and bus stations are close by, which made the location handy. The apartment felt cozy and had a nice view from the window. It had what we needed, apart from two small towels.
