Getting around was simple, and I felt safe coming and going on my own. I was travelling solo, and the hosts also quickly helped arrange taxis to and from the airport. They replied fast through the messaging service. The apartment is close to the beach, with supermarkets nearby, and Glovo delivery worked well. Beicici beach is about a 6 minute walk away, with lots of locals and some of the clearest water I’ve seen. The apartment sits up a pretty steep hill, so it’s a bit of a workout, but manageable. It’s also a handy base for Budva, Sveti Stefan and Kotor. They’re all a short ten minute taxi ride away or walkable. I walked to Budva several times a week, about 35 minutes at a good pace, or 50 minutes if I took my time. I spent three wonderful weeks here and honestly couldn’t find anything to fault. For a “3 star” stay, it’s outstanding value, and I’d recommend it to friends. I’m glad I found the place, especially as a solo female traveller. The hosts were kind and responsive, and I was touched when they made me homemade pastries. The room had everything I needed for a self contained stay: a kitchenette with pots and pans, balcony, en suite, a large double bed and plenty of storage. Housekeeping was brilliant, with cleaning worked around my remote work schedule. WiFi was excellent at 100mbps, more than enough for work calls and Netflix. I worked without interruption, and it might even be better than my WiFi at home. One tiny extra that would’ve been nice, though I absolutely didn’t expect it, is a small coffee machine. I’d have happily bought the pods, and it would’ve saved me the daily walk to the beachfront for coffee. Just a cherry on top. I’ve attached pictures of the gorgeous places nearby.
