The person looking after us did her very best to make the stay easy, and she deserves credit for that. The place itself has a lot of potential, but the construction was disappointing. We stayed in house number 3 counting from the left, including the keeper’s house. There were several practical problems: using the washing machine turned the bathroom into a bathtub, there was no safety barrier by the stairs to the first floor, and there was no outside stairway to reach the pine house. We rented for three people but got only one deck chair, nowhere to hang jackets despite the entrance room, and one bedroom had no bedside table. The bedsheets didn't fit the beds. The shutters hit the roof when opened, and when closed, there was no way to lock them. It's hard not to wonder whether this house was built as a crash test for faulty workmanship. The real landlord may have invested without checking the construction, and the builder may not have hired experienced people. What a pity, given the site's excellent potential. It would help if cars could reach the lodges from behind, keeping the nice view in front of the houses.

The owner was incredibly accommodating, and it was a convenient place to stay. My friends and I had a wonderful time. The cabin was comfortably furnished and the views were lovely. We'd come back :)

The log burners were so powerful that, even with minus 3 degrees outside, we ended up opening the doors. The views in every direction were brilliant, with superb sunsets. We showed up without a booking and, though nobody was at reception, other guests called the manager, Jovanna, who arrived quickly. She was really friendly and helpful, and lit the burner straight away. We were worried it would be our only heat source, but there was no need. Jovanna also brings meals to the cabins, which is handy given how remote they are. The food was brilliant and great value. Our meal for two nights lasted three! One smoke alarm didn't work and the shower leaked, but these places still felt like heaven. A great stay if you're after peace, quiet, remoteness, and enormous log fires in Durmitor.
