The apartment was clean, nice, and had everything we needed, but the stay turned into a mess. Our bus was late, so we arrived an hour behind schedule through no fault of ours, and the host was annoyed and quite rude about it. The first night went fine. Later, she came in without warning while one of us was asleep, another was showering, and I was halfway through changing. She didn’t seem bothered by any of that. She got upset that we had moved some furniture and demanded we put it back. She wouldn’t let us sort things out properly through the booking agent. Instead, she marched around pointing and shouting, threatened to call the police, turned off the AC, and shut the windows. When we tried to address the privacy invasion, she kept focusing on why we had moved her furniture. After that, both the hot water and AC mysteriously stopped working completely. Avoid this place. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else.

Our host canceled our reservation at the last minute and acted like it was no concern of his, telling us to do whatever we wanted. He then tried to get me to cancel it, even though he was the one choosing to cancel. I refused and told him he needed to handle it himself. I spent a long time on the phone with Airbnb support, explaining what happened and showing that I wasn’t the one asking to cancel. I even sent screenshots of my conversation with the host. Airbnb eventually confirmed the situation, and he had to cancel it himself so I wouldn’t be charged a cancellation fee. His attitude and lack of responsibility were hard to believe. I strongly recommend staying away from this host.

We found the area quiet, with the old town and beaches about 15-20 minutes away on foot. There are two or three bakeries nearby where we usually picked up breakfast to eat at the beach. The room was spotless, and its little kitchenette had enough supplies for two people. It seems like a good-value choice for a short stay. Our only issue was the bed setup. We’d booked a double room with two single beds, and that’s what we got. The host suggested pushing them together, but they kept sliding apart during the night.

We were moved here after our hotel was overbooked, and I don’t get why these apartments have bad reviews. The hostess greeted us politely, explained everything, and was warm and kind. Our room was clean and the air conditioning worked. It’s a quiet spot, with the beach within walking distance. There’s parking too, and she let us leave the car right in the courtyard.
