Boutique hotel Ruzmarin Garden&SPA by Aycon

The welcome kept up throughout our stay, and everyone on the staff and management team was so helpful. Their service and suggestions were amazing, and the food was on another level. It was our first trip to Montenegro, and we’re already figuring out how to return next year with friends, even though we don’t usually revisit the same place.

Breakfast was good, and the service was friendly and helpful. The saunas were working and made a nice alternative to the jacuzzi, which didn’t have hot water and didn’t seem likely to be fixed soon. The hotel is almost brand new, and you can tell, in positive ways and a few less positive ones. We would have liked a little more texture on the room walls, perhaps some pictures or artwork to make them feel warmer.

Everything felt new, and the staff were lovely. Our room was fabulous and came with its own terrace. The hotel is about a ten-minute drive from Budva old town, so I’d recommend having a car.

The warm, attentive staff are what made our stay especially memorable. The owner, Lazar, and the team treated my wife, our German friend and me more like family than paying guests. The restaurant food was exceptionally good, and the inviting pool and valley views from the roughly dozen rooms added to the appeal. We spent two nights at Boutique Hotel Ruzmarin, in the hills above Budva, and enjoyed them enormously. It wasn’t easy to find this hidden gem, so set your car GPS correctly, as we didn’t. We can’t recommend Boutique Hotel Ruzmarin highly enough.
