City Apartments

I’ve stayed here several times over the years, from studios on the lovely rooftop to a three-bedroom penthouse with a beautiful open layout. The beds, bathroom, and kitchen are all made to a high standard. You’re steps from the beach and restaurants, with a small convenience store downstairs and secure parking behind an automatic gate. The host greets you with a big smile and a warm welcome. When you’re in Budva, this is the place I’d pick. Book quickly, it’s perfect.

The sea view is right in front of you, and the beach is just around the corner. The apartment is fitted out in a really luxurious way, and the location is very convenient. It honestly feels like living at the height of luxury.

City Apartments was a lovely base for our holiday in Montenegro. The host was always available and really helpful, and the apartment was beautifully furnished. It’s in a great part of Budva for exploring the country.

The biggest letdown was the balcony. It felt like a prison exercise yard, with only walls and other apartments’ equipment in view. You also have to share it, so there’s no privacy. For the price, I could have found somewhere with at least some kind of view, which matters in such a beautiful country. I booked the 2+1 apartment, but the photos are misleading. It’s meant to be 40 square meters, yet half the space is only a meter high because it’s beneath a steep roof at the top of the building. There are lots of stairs to reach it and no lift. If you want a quieter atmosphere, Budva may not be the place for you. Five or more open-air discos compete to be the loudest all night.
