Hotel Mondo

The staff were friendly, the food was good enough with some daily variation, and we enjoyed staying at Mondo hotel. The location was good, and the problems we noticed weren’t deal breakers, even if there were quite a few things that could be fixed. The room floor wasn’t clean when we arrived, and the toilet tap was hard to use, possibly because of a gasket problem. Shower water kept switching from hot to cold, maybe because the whole hotel shares one water line. The rooms aren’t soundproofed well, so you can hear normal hallway conversations. The AC is mounted right over the bed and blows straight at you, making it hard to sleep with it on, but also hard to sleep without it when it’s hot. There’s a small pool on the roof, but guests aren’t allowed to use it. Parking costs 20 euros a day, with a few spaces under the hotel.

The owner was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and breakfast suited our family of four well during our five-day stay. It was a small spread, but there were healthy, varied choices each day. Cleaning and maintenance could be better. The toilet wasn’t clean when we arrived, the bathroom window had no covering, and we had to cover it ourselves for privacy. The shower kept alternating between cold and hot water, and the cleaners sometimes missed things. Addressing those issues would earn the hotel a higher rating.

We really enjoyed staying at Mondo. Our room was a little small but extremely clean, and the terrace was huge. The location is a big plus, and both breakfast and dinner were very delicious. Our group arrived late on the first day, but dinner was waiting for us. Thank you!
