Hotel Perun

The breakfast was quite good. That was the one bright spot in my stay at Hotel Perun in Budva. The rooms were nothing special, and the service felt cold and indifferent. From check-in onward, the staff came across as unprofessional and showed no hospitality. Arriving seemed like a chore to them, and their attitude never improved. The hotel fell short of even basic one-star standards, let alone four. I came with high hopes and left very disappointed. I wouldn't give it more than one star, maybe less.

We had such friendly, pleasant hospitality here. Whenever we needed information, the staff gave it to us. Breakfast was really good too. It's close enough to Old Town and the beaches that we didn't need to spend extra on taxis. Definitely coming back, maybe even this autumn.

Breakfast had a great variety, from Njegoški pršut to delicious sweets, and the staff and owners were so kind. The apartment was clean, modern, spacious, and cozy. It's only a few minutes from Old Town and the beach. We had a great stay and would highly recommend it!

The manager was the worst part. Instead of dealing with our complaints professionally, he came in shouting and acting hostile and confrontational. He tried to kick us out, threatened to call the police, and treated us like the problem for speaking up about a room that didn't meet basic expectations. There was no hospitality or professionalism. Avoid this place unless you enjoy being made to feel like a nuisance for expecting what you paid for. The room had been cleaned, but it wasn't ready for guests, even though the hotel was brand new and supposedly “freshly opened.” In our so-called “aparthotel” there were no kitchen amenities at all. We had to beg and over-explain just to get the basics. The bathroom smelled so bad it was impossible to use, the living-room air conditioning didn't work, and someone had left a used toilet paper roll. Wi-Fi kept cutting out too. We were charged full price, but this hotel clearly wasn't ready to accommodate paying guests. Claiming otherwise feels dishonest at best, fraudulent at worst. It shouldn't be operating, much less advertising itself as four-star.
